"Knowledge has been digitized, it's a fact and we can see it everywhere. Actually education as such has been digitized. So how can we optimally transform the live experience into the virtual, online one? Do you imagine watching your favorite professor online, decades after your graduation? How's that possible in the case of video in education?
As the amount of videos on all possible media and channels is enormous and diverse, with usually no additional value, other than the video itself, we will try to use our imagination in this webinar and connect video with the state of the art knowledge technologies and try to speculate and describe what would be the future scenario for online educational videos.
We will take our initial stand point from VideoLectures.NET, a well structured and organized free and open access educational video lectures repository. At the website lectures are given by distinguished scholars and scientists at events like conferences, summer schools, workshops and science promotional events from many fields of Science. "
